So driving a car for as long as possible isn’t always bad and in some cases it can work out much better. However there does come a time when you really do need to change your car and we show you why.
1 . Your car doesn’t feel safe anymore
This is no1 priority to you and your fellow humans. It is important to feel confident in the safety of your car.
If your car is just scraping through MOTs or has mechanical issues that can cause it to be dangerous on the road then you SHOULD be looking at getting a new car asap. Traffic accidents are one of the biggest causes of death in the UK so it’s a no brainer if your car is dangerous. Get a new one fast
2. Your car is always breaking down
There is a saying that you cant “polish a ****” Ilt’s the same with a car who has ever had it that your car starts breaking down, then you fix that but because that went something else has now gone and you just open a floodgate to problems. Everyone experiences this at some point and the trick is to know when to give up and get rid. Spending a fortune on major repairs is not cost effective and if it works out that can money can be used on a deposit for another car then you should consider it. Its also not a good feeling knowing that your car could breakdown on you any minute especially when you have dependables to consider.
3. Your car could ruin your life
Imagine being late constantly at work because of car troubles. That may be able to wash once maybe twice but more than that you are seriously risking or business if you are self employed. There also thing socially that if you were to miss because of car trouble would it really make you happy. Like not being able to pick the kids up from school, or going to your favourite event .
4. A major life event
I remember being all care free and haslle free and being able to drive a Audi TT or a 2 seater MX3 then suddenly I got a call, my wife was pregnant and it didn’t hit me at first but my whole motoring life changed. I went from small sports cars to large cars and eventually SUV's.
Life changes can take many different guises a new job further away needs a more fuel efficient car, You might take a up a hobby that needs you to carry equipment, whatever it is getting a car that suits your lifestyle is important. A car is supposed to make your life more convenient not have you compromising because you have the wrong one.
5. The repair costs more money than your car is worth.
This is the most obvious reason to buy a new car. If you’ve got to spend £3,000 to replace your engine (but the car is only worth £1,500), then you might as well call it quits. It just doesn’t make any financial sense to continue with that car especially as the likelihood is you will spend more money in the future.
